So how did the song, and all of its guest stars, come about? Katzman tells EW:

“As the hunter vote was going on, I jokingly wrote the chorus to ‘Buckwild Blindside’ in my head. I remember sitting by my campsite totally exhausted while everyone was running around the island pleading to not be voted out and proposing no action. “Ironically, Kelly Nalbadi’s famous line from Her Blind Side, ‘What the hell, Y’all?’, first came to me when I was performing this song live and Kelly was in the audience. I dedicated the song to her while playing it live in NYC and as soon as we finished, I handed her the mic and she repeated that famous line. That’s when I had an epiphany… that line should be on the album too!”
